For what it is worth the thing that you are adjusting is a  regulator that is mounted on the balance bridge that has small pins that the hairspring passes through.  Moving the regulator changes the amount of slack in the hairspring making the watch run faster or slower.  I have never found that much conformity in this industry, I guess a lot depends on who you worked under.

Trias from IW a few days ago.

It's my first manual wind and it's pretty fun to wind it every morning.

I regulated it (don't know if I did it right:?) so that it now runs +2s/day:).

Very nice..............and if you have it running at +2.........you did it right! :)

As an arguable point, I have always been told that the term "regulate" as it applies to watches has to do with consistancy on a daily basis. The term "adjust" as it applies to watches has to do with the accuracy of the watch. Therefore, if a watch is not consistant on a daily basis, it must be "regulated" first; then it is "adjusted" for accuracy to get it within the smallest margin of error possible.
