 Seems to me that (for exemple on the black/red model) , the black front turbine is a part of the dial: Fix.
And the red turbine behind it is following the movement's rotor's rotations...I conclude that the movement's rotor is on the same axis as the red turbine. Offcourse, as thought by Wardog, the red turbine is just there for the effect...;)
