As I eluded to in Fridays DWC; Me and my son's Webelos den spent the weekend onboard the WW2 aircraft carrier USS Yorktown CV10. The ship is located in Charleston, SC. We left Friday afternoon and the 10 boys with there accompanying Akele arrived at the ship by 8:30pm.

We got the boys onboard and after a greeting and safety brief; we got the boys up to their berthing...

We got up Saturday and had breakfast in the CPO mess...

We were greeted with an unexpected 25 degree wind chill factor; so even though we had the boys in their class A's you couldn't see their uniforms. But it didn't' stop the boys from being on the Flight Deck...

Some of the aircraft...

A couple in the Hanger Bay...

And here is the Topgun in a F9F Cougar... yourock.gif

We also took a ferry down the Cooper River to Fort Sumter...

We also took all the tours available on the ship and took a tour thru an old Deisel Submarine, Uss Clamagore (sorry, didn't get any other pics). We left Sunday morning after breakfast. Needless too say the boys had a blast.woohoo.gif

Thanks for looking :D
