It dawns on me that I never formally introduced myself.smile8.gif I'm Joe from Clear Brook, VA, which is north of Winchester, which is about 70 miles west of Washington, D.C. I got into this hobby in the spring and have been busy--probably too busy--collecting since then. My collection thus far: Zinex Nitros Abyss Dievas Aqualuna Benarus Moray Boschett Cave Dweller Debaufre Magnum Classic Edition Series Debaufre Aircraft 8 Vollmer U5 Vostok-Europe Red Square Black & Silver Moscow Classic Aeronavigator Chronograph Orient Power Reserve Invicta 9937OB Incoming: Helson Shark Hunter I also have a number of inexpensive Chinese automatics. My mistake initially was to think that quartz watches were worth collecting. I am sure that is true for some, but I found the mechanical watches I acquired, even those that cost $50 or so, such as the Duboule Winchester, to be more interesting. The turning point was when I acquired my second 50mm-plus quartz watch and realized that they resembled bangles as much as watches. So I have been selling off the quartz watches on e-bay and have been buying automatics, particularly dive watches. Live and learn--and I have been learning a lot on this site and others. Thanks.
