As a plus, I believe in the last year or so, Breitling has moved to making their own proprietary movement.

Well, perhaps a different tack on this post but you mentioned saving up for a Rolex, Panerai, Breitling, etc. Of those mentioned (owning only Rolex and Breitling) I would certainly go for the Breitling, while still an expensive watch, I believe if to be a better value than a Rolex and I think that it holds its value as well. I would not invest in the bracelet or expensive Breitling strap, but rather get a nice custom strap from our favorite vendors. I always think Breitling looks better on a strap. As a plus, I believe in the last year or so, Breitling has moved to making their own proprietary movement.
