in defense of Kobold I will say that they are made to live up to the hype of those who wear them and advertise them as being able to hold up to any situation....they not only look well built and tough they are imho and I am comparing Kobold to a very large pool of brands that I own and loveĀ hand6.gif

....now would I spend the $ for a new one?...I have when they were on sale under $2000.but find them overpriced for the most part andĀ find the secondary market the best place to purchase a Kobold because of the savings and as soon as I can find a mint Spirit of America I will snatch it up..hearteyes.gif

ThumbsUp02.gif It took me 6 days to figure out what all the fuss is about a Kobold. It was't love at first site. Like the Doxas, But I'm starting to love it.

I must agree with Oscar the watch is all business, the Crystal is beautiful with a nice blue antireflection coating, the bezel lines up perfect, the finish is superb, luminescent last all night, the time keeping is within COSC standard, and it's built to take any punishment. The watch is truly a tool instrument.

The 21 jewel description is a typo I knew that. What bothers me is some of these watch manufactures claim certain type of grade of movement, but when you open the case back it's a different grade. I'm not referring to Kobold.

I would say yes on the Kobold, but could be wrong... I have seen some pictures of the Kobold automatic movement in the past and the majority are top grade.

Finally someone made a nato strap that fits my wrist, nato strap form Howard at West coast time.
