Ronda Swiss quartz. They don't make the UV in quartz anymore. Was pumped for an auto model until I checked my watch funds.

I wanted to buy one of these Bathys and saw a few FS on the forums but even with just a Quartz mvt they were just too expensive for me:(
why are they so expensive even for Quartz?
Depending on the model the new auto's go in that 1000-1500 range. I have seen them on various sales forums for 650-850. I purchased the original Bathys when they were just starting out, direct online and the price for quartz was approx 350.00 or maybe even a little less. Now they are only available at "Brick and Mortar" and they start at 650.00. I can only imagine that the mark up is to make it a profitable venture for the additional layer in the distribution chain. Can't really see forking over the dollars to buy one new.
