Just wanted to share what I've bought so far this year.

First up is a Seiko 5 on 7S26. It has no nickname but I just call it Darth Vader's helmet. I got it because of the stealth look, the uncommon hands and, as is my usual enabler, its big size. The seconds hand's shape and design is also something not very common in the Seiko line and as far as I know, is used only on this series. Another interesting thing about this one is that lume on the seconds hand is on the balance end or rear end of the hand. Coming in at about 46mm and standing 17mm tall, it's something I like looking at a lot. I'm sure it's a keeper. This one came in first week of January.

Next is the Seiko Landshark, a neat diver. I was on the fence for about a year on this diver until I think I saw saw Nic's black dial unit and Canadajo's post of the white dial version. Those posts prompted me to shoot it down. The hands of this one attracted me a lot, particularly the wide minute and hour hands. Lume is just great. This is not as big as my other divers but it's about 43mm and stands 16mm tall.  For its size, it's a heavy one because of the extra compass bezel and the turning knob. Its also powered by the 7S26. The Landshark is among Seiko's recent divers. One can tell because the crown is at 4 while the older Seiko divers had crowns at 345. This one came in on the 2nd week of January.

Sushi anyone????.............(see some of my other toys below)
