Depends on how you want to position your watch. Most of the luxury houses (PP, VC, AP, GP, RX) use polished ceramic dials or polished enamel on their signature pieces. Ceramic adds lots of RTB or "reasons to believe" to support a higher price point and I myself would seriously consider watches with ceramic dials. They have an uncommon sheen, patina and lustre. Now that's luxury ceramic. O is right. Today's ceramics are super tough viz the ceramics of the horological past. I have an incoming diver that uses an erect ceramic shroud to protect an inner titanium bezel, which is already imbued with tensile strength 30% higher than steel. I can't think of anything else that proves that point. Of course, that's industial ceramic, the same stuff used in jet engines. Hope this helps:)
