The Vortex is made of titanium, not painted over and thus is about 30% stronger than the usual stainless steel. Depending on your lifestyle, your watch will or will not get dinged/swirled. The secret is to always be careful, use watches suited to your lifestyle and then shift to a tool watch when the need arises.
