 I think it depends on the model/movement - I've changed the capacitor in a lot of my Citizen 'Eco-beaters' as I've come to call them...

I've had to leave one of my eco-drive divers in the sun for the better part of two days of full sun before I could get the thing to start ticking....

It's really nothing more than changing the battery - it's just a different type of battery.

Also - Citizen carries a nice 5 year warranty in the US - check your serial number - you may be in luck! Citizen USA has great customer service...
