 I never buy watches second hand. It's just a quirk of mine. If ever I buy a second hand watch, this might be my rule: No box, No papers, No deal.

For vintage Seikos, however, I'd make an exception as these may be sourced from the 3rd or 4th owner etc. But if I chance upon a vintage Seiko complete with everything, I'd pay a premium. This simply reflects the discipline of the owner and his respect for good housekeeping. So far, I haven't come across a Seiko vintage seller who can show me everything.
