From My understanding, And I could be wrong, and If I am, I am sure I will be corrected, there are different levels of "homages" the more expensive ones use Luminova, the Seagull, and have sapphire crystals, also, allegedly, you can go in water with them. (not happening on my part) The reason why these homages are not always looked upon favorably, as thats the ones that end up with copyrighted labels on them. (not cool. I do not condone rep watches) but there is also a "knockoff of a knockoff" in the lower end MMs. If anything, the Chinese are masters at resourceful reverse engineering.
From what I understand, the Seagull is currently in negotiations to replace all the Unitas Movements, as they will no longer be sold within a few years. (Am I way off base here? did I read this somewhere or completely pull it from my Arse? )
