Welcome Valjoux but as Skip said...this thread has not been posted in since November 2005 and much can change in 5 years....since then we have learned that Invicta has no Swiss factory and that the address they used back then and probably now is used by many HongKong manufacturers and brands to get around the whole "Swiss Made" rulings...an address and telephone # is all that is needed....having a Swiss address lends some prestige to a brand name just like being located in Geneve....the heart of the Swiss watch community is the creme' de la creme of Swiss Watch addresses....

..another interesting note that came to me recently is that the "Swiss Made" production rule/lable about final assembly and inspection must be made in Switzerland only pretains to the 1st 200 pieces in any model run...after that they can be built/assembled anywhere in the world....so if a brand like Invicta who mass produces watches your chance of getting a watch that says "Swiss Made" on the dial is more than likely a watch made entirely in China with a Swiss movement.coyote2.gif
