This is my first dive watch with a helium valve and not to sure how it works. You shouldn't have to use it unless you dive in a Helium environment. Helium can get past seals in a watch & the valve can be opened to let it out when returning to sea level; otherwise it can blow the seals / crystal out, Just keep it screwed down.
