The Subzilla is a great watch. Everything on mine is top notch in the fit and finish. It is a very well made and very well q/c'd watch. I bought it for and use it when i go on long treks where i need a watch that is extremely tough and could take abuse. I have bashed the heck out of this thing on my trips and it still performs beuatifully. Ian Krmemke is also a great guy to deal with and provides top notch customer service. That said, compared to some other options out there, the subzilla does push the high end of the price range. I have never regretted or second guessed the $1200 i spent for mine and would not consider flipping it, but again you can get a similar watch in looks and quality for less. You may check out the Benarus 1km (as suggested before) or Sonic watch. I own both watches and both a steal for what you get for the money and are similar in looks and specs. (Benearus is the Fricker case, Sonic is that 2000m case you see around these days. Both are german made)
