Oscar's post got me thinking about a great book I read some years ago. Some of you are probably familiar with it. The book is 'Longitude'. Its written by Dava Sobel and is about John Harrison and the race to build the first accurate maritime chronometer. Its a good read, and is relatively short. Gives a good indication of the importance of timekeeping in navigation. Marc
