I have an order from a leatherguy here in Asia for just the skin witrh sharp, pronounced horns or ridges. I was told it only comes from the tail of baby crocs...hard to find but worth the bucks. If I get it, off to the "strapsmith" it goes.
Yes, it's 24/24mm and about 5mm thick. The leather backing used is super soft so the strap is pretty pliable despite those big horns. This one was ready made but when I saw it I knew I had to get it for the 312. I was just going to mount it to check it out and switch back to what I already had on the watch (which itself was very recently acquired for this watch), but I'm liking it so much I've kept it on the watch since receiving it.
I was already very much into watch straps before, but owning a Panerai seems to be taking it to another level...
GX, when you strap on a shiny pig on that killer combo of yours, you'd have gone full circle. Congrats!
