I was out of town for the entire month of June finishing a masters program at a large midwestern university. I brought two watches to wear...my Omega Seamaster for "nice", and a Luminox Navy Seal for "play". I quickly discovered that the gentleman who was in the room next to me (also in my program) didn't have a watch. I was astounded. How could you function without a watch? I don't care that you can glance at your cell phone for the time...a man without a watch is, well, about half a man in my eyes.
Anyway, I offered to lend him the Luminox for the month, which he quickly accepted. I wore the Omega for a month, which I was more than happy to do. The upside was that I didn't ever need to leave the Omega in the dorm when I was at class...it was always on my wrist. And let's face it, the Seamaster can take anything that one can dish out.
At the end of the month my colleague had fallen for the Luminox. I introduced him to the world of WIS and all the related websites and watches. As a parting gift I gave him the Luminox, as I'm sure many of you would have done.
Anyway...one month, one watch, and it worked out very well. Of course since I gave a watch away I had to purchase a few to replace it.
