Nice teardown and rebuild.:D When I opened the back of mine I was bummed to see it had the gilted (Asian) movement and that stupid plastic retainer ring. I boxed it up and shipped it back out of sheer disappointment.:( I hope you enjoy yours. The case and dial design is top notch.:)
Has anyone ever gotten any confirmation of the fact that the gold movements are Asian? I have the gold movements in both my Marine Diver (labeled Swiss Mov't) and my 9937 (labeled Swiss on the dial, i.e. Swiss Made). :?
