@peepshow PM me about your 9937. My Nickel plated 2824's are lableled "Swiss Made" on both the rotor and movement body while the Gold ones I have are all labeled "Swiss Made" on the rotor only. This seems to imply that the Nickel plated ones are more Swiss than the Gold ones, go figure! As far as Asia copies go Sea-Gull lists a movement that is exactly like the 28xx series movements right down to the milling marks on the movement plates. This suggests to me that Sea-Gull has the tooling and or designs for the movement and also suggests that Sea-Gull is ETA's Asia parts supplier.
