After 4 weeks of patiently cleaning the movement and
waiting for the Elgin 532 No.5 Balance Stem to arrive.
I finally took the watch home today.

It is my 1942 Elgin DeLuxe 555 17 Jewels 4 Adjustments
Elgin USA hand wound. The previous Elgin which was
shown from an earlier post, dates from 1946.

What makes this special?

The dial is in original condition with no patina.

However, this Elgin that I am posting tonight has a round
movement.

I couldn't get close enough to photograph the name
on the dial. It doesn't matter is the beauty of this
timepiece, that sets it apart from the others.

Cheers,
Simon
