From Vegas we hit California, and took the scenic hwy1 up the coast. Beautiful drive. San Francisco was a blast the last 3 days. The weather was incredible.
Tomorrow it is the long haul to LAX. (24 hours / 2 flights home!) We will then have completed our route 66 adventure "officially" after 4000 miles of driving. I did enjoy the Cadillac DTS V8 very much. Average consumption according to the on board computer: 26 mpg.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in with advice, invites and interest. It was a fantastic trip and memories were made for both my dad and I. Sorry I didn't get to see any members on the way!
