I just saw the above watch yesterday at a local AD. I really like it with the only exception of it being a non screw down crown. All my watches get wet, swimming, snorkeling, fishing and showers. Everything else is just fine including the soviet auto movement ( kinda cool ). Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rod in Va.

Hey Rod....no photomini me.gif.

Just as an input, I have a sister-in-law who is totally ignorant of watches and she's been wearing a Seiko 5 with WR rating of 30 meters for the past 5 years. She's worn the watch in the shower, in the pool with her kids, snorkeling, fishing in Cabo San Lucas, etc etc. In short, the non-screw down Seiko 5 has gone where it shouldn't have. Guess what? Absolutely keeps perfect time with no moisture at all. Generally for Seiko, they underpromise but overdeliver and I've seen this happen on WR and even accuracy statements.

Can't make a call on the Russian movement (Neo or NDBurley is our defacto Russian gurusubtlelaugh.gif and if you PM him, he will reply) as I don't have a single Russian.

Hope this helps.
