 I've been on the quartz bandwagon with my last three purchases, so I'm interested, but I'm not keen on the lack of a sapphire crystal.

Why in the world wouldn't you put a sapphire crystal on your new line of watches? From what I understand the cost difference is insignificant for a manufacturer of Bulova's size.

The movement is really interesting, though. I expect that we'll see these appearing more and more often. I could see these high-beat quartz movements replacing the traditional one-per-second models currently in use.
