Rolf: The diameter size of a watch isn't the only factor for how much place the watch will take on the wrist... The lugs are a big factor also. I have around 62mm wide wrists and my 50mm Russian Shark falls right on me with 62mm lug to lug size. ![]() ![]() My Egiziano homage is 60mm and 72mm lug to lug: I "fit" it but it's not "right my size". Lug to lug size is important and remember that the Vortex is 54mm lug to lug for it's 44mm diameter(without crown). When a watch takes 54mm on your wrist, it start to be a big baby and can't look ridiculous except if you have monster wrists. For the date: I have many watches without date and enjoy them as much as the others, like many of us
