I've been itching for a hand-cranker since I sold off my Debaufre CSAR (too long and overhangs my wrist). While browsing around another forum, the Steinhart Marine Chronometer II Roman caught my eye. I really like Roman numerals on a watch dial and the design looked great. Despite it also being a rather large watch, I decided to order it after confirming that it's lug-to-lug length is manageable for me. It was out of stock when I decided to order it but thankfully it didn't take too long for them to re-stock. It arrived today and it looks as good as it did in the pictures. It certainly wears big, but since it doesn't quite overhang my wrist like the CSAR did, I hope this will be a keeper. I'm certainly happy to have a Unitas 6498 powered watch again. Some pics: ![]() ![]() The MCII has gold plate movement base. Even though you only see it through the gaps between the bridge plates, I still think it looks cool. ![]() ![]() ![]() It wears bigger than my PAM312, but when compared side by side, they seemed about the same, minus the thickness. ![]() Wrist shot ![]() I like it!
