While not for me, I do like the combination Ti and Bronze construction, and as far as the dimensions go, this one is not ridiculously big. I think the 'smallish', depth-gauge style design of the lugs lends to this case looking more bulbous than it really is (Now, I'm not saying the watch isn't big...it's big, just not ridiculously so IMO). Of note, the blog states that the case thickness is the same as the Shark Diver (18mm), and that it is that custom, thick sapphire that brings the total thickness up to 22.5mm. For reference, the ENZO Ref.500 that was posted on the blog back in November was 38mm thick, which sort of makes this Helson seem svelte. ![]() I figured Jeff would like this one as anyone wearing the SMW 20,000 FEET would find this one to be a fair bit smaller in size. Good thing they are both Ti construction! No doubt this one will take out a few door jams if you are wearing it for desk diving, but I definitely think Peter has succeeded here knowing that the inspiration for this one is a vintage depth gauge. ...to that end, it's a cool piece.
