Well Ed...I'm sure people will have different opinions on this mainly due to the fact that some people like to use mechanized watch winders. My opinion only...I don't use watch winders and probably never will, and I let my watches naturally run down when not on the wrist. I would recommend that you never store them with the crown pulled out though...depending on the type of crown seal design being used this could subject the inside of the watch to unwanted humidity. If you end up having watches that aren't being worn very often (IMO...once a month at least), it is probably a good idea to give them a full wind and let them run down once a month to give the mechanicals an opportunity to move the lubricants around. My 2 cents!
