My very lovely wife dog smile.gif has tiny wrists and wears a ladies's 2-tone DateJust, her favorite. She has 2 others in 32mm or in medium size but she prefers the small one. So to buy her a bigger one, and in automatic, would be a No-No for me.

She told me she only fusses over watches because she knows I'm a WIS. But given a choice, she would prefer a quartzie anyday.

Also, from what I know or from the women I know, they really coordinate their watches and jewelry....like a stainless steel or a white gold watch to go with white gold jewelry....that sort of thing. A watch in gray ti would be a challenge for our wives to find matching gray jewelry for and the watch might just end up sitting in the drawer for a long time.

Jeff, check out women's watches at the mall. You'll be surprised a vast majority are in quartz (not auto and not manual) for the simple reason, IMHO, most women don't really fuss about watches in the same way they do about other stuff. The watch companies know this. Patek, for example with its 24 line, positions this to women.....and the 24 line is quartz and loaded with bling.
