When  I lived in fla I got to see the first launch  after the Challenger blew up.  We were about 8 miles south of the launch site on a bridge.  When the sound wave hit us the bridge shook for the power of the shuttle.  I tried a few times after to see another launch but they all ended up being delayed once we got there.  At least I got to see it once.  What an awesome experience  I will never forget.
