the 1500 is actually much darker/tarnished than in the wrist shot...direct sunlight isn't the best light source to show off the nice patina...below is a pic of the watch once it comes out of the gel/water solution after about 3-5 min.,it's almost black...after washing it and hitting it with a Sunshine polishing cloth,it lightens up.I am going to do a brush effect next,this will hopefully allow me to control the dark blue/black patina to areas I want it at...the dark blue patina is very cool,and looks like gun blueing...with Scotts help I should be able to get an awesome finish. Q&D from under my desk lamp...
