Well, the sheriff is gonna crap ALL over this, but from the picture it looks like lead to me ...And yes William, I know that lead is one of the softest metals out there, and that for the life of me I can`t see that it would be suitable for a bezel/case back. But since there are more than a few other "strange" suggestions here, I thought what the heck ...would'nt lead in a watch cause lead poisoning?...or does it has to be ingested?...I'll go woth Zinc as the mystery metal...
But, lead? nahh, don`t really think so. But hey, maybe Kaz has come up with a neat way to treat lead iot "harden it up" ? Have gotten the umbrella out, so I`ll be ready for the S**t-storm from the north, hehe
