these have been around for years,and the main reason Ventura went bancrupt back in 2007.They put all their eggs into this new innovation and left their old designs behind,thus the lack of sales,as many WIS saw it back then.
   The brand was eventually sold at bancruptcy auction to discount watch giant Lior Ben Schmuel of Shopnbc fame.The sale was blocked and in court until late 2009,and in 2010 Pierre Nobs(former owner) was able to regain control and ownership of his company.
....I was hoping that they would get back to the Ventura watches of past,with designs by Hannes Wettstein,as well as the mechanical digis,but so far nothing is in the works.I have collected Venturas since 2002 and are of my favorite watches,very high quality,and the 1st to use the scratch resistant titanium called Tantalum.Maybe they were too far ahead of the times,only time will tell...again
