Was actually speaking with my watch-maker about bezel removing with a "knife" ,like 2-3 weeks ago...
He took out 2 different bezel-remover devices from his shelf and told me that this was how it should be done.
He knew a watch-maker in Norway who slightly deformed a bezel crown by popping it off with a similar knife like the guy does in the video: Because the lifting pressure is applied only at one point and the bezel crown bearing the teeth is a thin steel circle.
When it's deformed, it's just good for trash.
So there is a risk doing it this way, specialy if the bezel is a bit hard to come and if you didn't pop hundreds bezels like that, you should just let it be done with the right tool.
