I bought one last year as my Christmas gift too - 98B142. Since mine is on a rubber strap, it's not heavy at all and wears comfortably. I'm assuming you handled one of the versions with metal bracelet?
For the first 2 and a half months, I wore it every other week and by the time I decided to put it away for storage, accuracy was pretty sweet at about +3 seconds off. After storing the watch for the last 9+ months (with the crown facing down), the watch is off about +26 seconds ... not the ±10s/year that it claims unfortunately, but then again I assume that claim is based on regular wearing of the watch, or maybe placed with dial face up (I hope) ?
Anyway, I like the watch and think it was a good purchase. Plus, I like it when some people seeing it for the first time think I bought another auto until I tell them it's not.
