 Great achievement! The new 8500 had already the silicon balance spring which is not affected by magnetism and I guess it was a good start to arrive at a such level of performance.
There's a lot to read about magnetic field exposure and heath risk: Some safety guidelines on the net says "2 Tesla. Whole body ceiling limit: No exposure allowed above this limit"
So I'd rather not need this watch to work...
