You are right. I am a big fan of the Anonimo bronze (old style) and will get one some day. The new design direction does not have me reaching for my cheque book, or go all wobbly at the Paypal checkout.
Every time a manufacturer spits out new design itrerations, we have only two places to go - for or against. IMHO there are too many similar designs that they are trying to (poorly) emulate with this new direction. There are elements of Tony's (2009) Aerowatch Chrono, old Millimetri and some of the Ox-Pro watches in them, but there does not seem to be a good resolution of the elements in any of them.
Pity - but makes the "old" versions more collectable, I guess.
