Well...we are well into BASELWORLD 2013 which will finish up on May 2nd (just a couple days away).

I have certainly not seen everything yet, but have been completely wow'ed by the offerings from a number of makers (I'll admit to totally drooling over at least a few Tourbillon models shown!...gorgeous, incredibly executed for sure but I don't see myself laying down that kind of coin this year...subtlelaugh.gif ).

Two real standouts for me (which just happen to have a blue theme going) have been the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue (for a sporty category watch that I would get a ton of wear out of), and on the more dressy side of things the Glashutte Original Sixties Panorama Date (I don't typically go for the dressier models, but there are times when they fit the bill and this one really speaks to me).

So all you WIS out there...what has you swinging from the rafters (or on the other side of things...any complete disappointments), from BaselWorld 2013?

First, the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue. I've been a fan of the first Tudor Heritage Chrono (especially the grey dial model) since it was introduced in 2010. This Chrono Blue makes tweaks to the hands, indices, minute track, and applied markers which (IMO) give it a better vintage nod, especially since the overall design of this one pays respect to the original 1973 Tudor Monte Carlo Chrono. So well done IMO!!!

The Glashutte Original is available in a regular Sixties model(which is 39mm in diameter) and the Sixties Panorama Date (which is 42mm in diameter). The 42mm case size is just perfect IMO and I absolutely love the well executed panorama date and simple retro dial font along with the white gold and nicely done blue burst dial. I'll admit this one is way pricey, but a sweet classic looker.
