Had no special favorites to say it frankly... Many companies played the safe card with the reborn of vintage models who had already them success from the past... Some others who took the dive for new designs, really been going deep in the lost abysses. So it's a "déjà vu" or a "WTF" experience all in all. I don't know if you guys saw the new Airman from Glycine: 1953 and base 22. I just regret the cyclop on the 53. The base 22 is a "back-ops" version. Glycine played like many, a safe card. http://azfinetime.wordpress.com/2012/10/16/glycine-airman-1953-vintage-glycine-airman-base-22-mystery-coming-soon/ Doxa came out of the closet with it's chinese models...Brrrr...Chilling. http://blog.breitlingsource.com/2013/04/23/doxa-basel-2013-pieces/ Of course there's been some new stuffs but they are far from our wallets so I'll pass. For the BlancPain: Nice but not Whaooo. This revisited Bathyscaphe version with the "liquid metal" bezel, silicon balance spring(Sure, they can do it like Omega since they are both owned by Swatch-Group) is looking good and sporty but this whole design is giving nothing specially new in my eyes. Like Glycine: Dating also from 1953. Isn't that funny? A move who will cost you 10,000$ for the first model. http://www.ablogtowatch.com/baselworld-2013-the-blancpain-fifty-fathoms-bathyscaphe-watch/ Rolex&Tudor, Omega... All played safe cards. Let's not speak about the new Anonimo... Who knows if they will ever come to reality since they only proposed computer images and demonstration models without movements at Basel. Resumed by: They only proposed new dials in the flesh. I bet they have cold feet right now. Hamilton proposed something new: The Face2Face who gets a bit too pricey for my taste... http://www.timetechtalk.com/forum1/26171.html Oris came out with a depth gauge who's still in them classical diver look but at list you can enjoy a such watch from only 2600€. http://www.monochrome.nl/oris-unveils-the-aquis-depth-gauge/ This will be something that divers will enjoy. Final verdict? Basel would have been much more funny if I was a billionaire.
