There may be some merit to what you are saying T....But the 2 Oceanauts I own,,the Spada at $349...and The 7Seas at $599..are 2 examples of Fine Timepieces
Both are Running +/-5 secs...w/Sapphire Crystals.,and have Heavy Well Made Cases,and the Bracelets are Thick and Have screwed in Links.
Something that Only One of My 50+ Invictas Have...which is the SubaquaNoma...My Understanding is that The SAII Doesn't Even have Screwed -in Links
Many Know I Own Most Every Invicta Worth Having,and If They Were to Make a 2015/14 Today...it Would Sell in the $500 Range and Fall way Short of Either of my OceanautsSecondly...Gabriel Ibarra is a Class act from Oceanaut,as well as Tim Temple...I dare Speak of the Other two 
I Hope Only that Oceanaut doesn't Price themselves Out of the Market....and I Do Agree on that Point with You Tony...it Seems as If they are Headed That Way...But at Least They Do Not Devalue the Product a Month or So Later w/Clearance Sales That Cost Loyal Customers like You/ I to Lose as Much as 50% right Off the Bat
I am a Optimist and Feel The Direction of Oceanaut won't Follow in the Steps of the Other Brand we so Admirably followed

Guys, ya' know I love ya' but at the $500 + mark these watches are overpriced:?
If Invicta or any other company brought out a watch made in the Orient with a Swiss movement, we would be breaking there bxlls.
I do own one and for the <$300 I paid it is a nice watch but much more than that I dunno........
Of course, this is JMHO:)
