Well im not a huge TAG fan either. There are only 2-3 TAG´s that i actually like, but they are all old watches.

Just want to put this out there: Im not buying watches because im looking for a future investment. I dont care if it has a Swiss or Japanese movement, just as long as they are accurate for a normal everyday use.

Also i must disagree with my Scandinavian neighbor. F1 and motorsport means alot for watches. Do you believe Rolex choose to be the mainsponsor for F1 just for fun? Many watchbrands have a rigorous past sponsoring in a variety of motorsports. Why? Because they sell more watches. :)

A good example would be the TAG Heuer Monaco "Steve McQueen Edition".

Dont take this the wrong way. I just dont agree with your way of shooting F1 down as nonsense. Would you buy a Rolex if they where Levis Jeans mainsponsor, and designed a "Denim 501 Limited Edition"?

However, i can of course agree that F1 has not much in common with watches per sé. Just carbon, ceramic and a few other precious and rare metals. ;)

But yes, Senna or Schumacher does not make a difference unless one is a fan. Only MS fans buy the Omega Speedmaster Micheal Schumacher Edition. I would not spend my money on it since im not a fan.

You all have a good weekend! :)

When I say "F1 don't have anything to say in watch value on the market."
I mean that the Schumacher as the Senna models are not those who are selling on top.
I may have generalized but don't forget that F1 is not of interest for every men.
Steeve Macqueen was a cinema legend: He popularized the car-chases on cinema with Bullit and was in other legendary movies.
It's about the same phenomena with Paul Newman and the Rolex Daytona: Then again, an actor.
A bit like the Bond watch phenomena: The cinema screen been helping a lot.
Motor-sport is connected sometimes to watches and chronometers but get a look at the Panerai Ferrari models, Girard Perregaux Ferrari and so on: They sell often at lowest.
The Speedmaster Schumacher is not a buks maker at all: It runs equal or lower compare to similar models in auctions.
Often the down factor can be the logo on the dial like the Ferrari models: It's way to much for limited aficionados.
Rolex is in the golf, the horses, polo, rallies, diving...Pretty much any high-buks sport because them customers are supposed to be rich sporty people who like adventure and risk.
But Rolex is not about to sponsorize a guy like Ed Stafford: Ask yourself why...
Other than that, F1 stamp don't make a watch selling more than another thing: It's the fame and the risk factors who does it and F1 don't have any monopole on that.
The moon-watch has an history who is far beyond F1 or any earthly sport: That's what is selling.
I personally don't give a damn about motor-sport so I may have my vision on that like you have yours.
