I managed to narrow it down to 3 watches on my list. This watch won me over because of it´s functions (and the fact that im a bit of a fan of the model). It´s reliable and has proven itself on many occasions to be a tough watch that can take abuse. My decision...Im going with the Casio ProTrek PRG-240-1ER or 240-1BER. Its not too expensive and easy to find. A robust watch with lots of complications one might be needing. There are a few that one probably wont ever use in this scenario, the altimeter for ex. What i like is, that it has a compass, barometer and a perpetual calender all the way to the year 2100. Its solar powered, so it should function for at least 10-15 years properly. Oh yes, it has a thermometer also. It can cope with a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius. This means that i can wear the watch on the outside of the jacket, and the buttons are big enough to be worked with gloves on. The display is big, so a quick glance might be enough when you need to keep your head on a swivel. The watch weighs only 65gr, so it wont weigh my (tiny) arm down in a battle where i´ll be swinging a sharp object against zombie heads. Water proof to 100m or 10bar/atm, enough for me. Im not planning to go diving into zombie-infested waters anyway. ![]() Attachment: Casio_PROTREK_PRG-240-1ER (2).jpg (Downloaded 28 times)
