Congrats Chris !

Awesome Pepsi ...

What did you say about the build quality ?

Problems with the alignment ?

Thanks Phil & William!thumbsup.gif

Build quality is fantastic at this price point. thumbsup.gif

Alignment (chapter ring to dial) is quite good on this one...I have to REALLY examine it to say there is any misalignment at all...but there is a very, very tiny amount that I don't notice at all when wearing it.

A must have, and I'm still waiting on the exchange process on the all blue SRP773 that was DOA.

OK, sounds good.

But always the question is for me: Why just manages Seiko not align perfectly?

One stupid question: What does DOA mean ?

I think that the lack of "perfect alignment" that we are seeing in some of the lower model Seikos today is simply a result of automation within the assembly process to keep the price low (so apparently the tolerance stack up of robots assembling these lower level Seikos results in chapter ring to dial alignment that is within what Seiko has determined is 'acceptable'). Every WIS wants perfect though, so I guess it may require human alignment if you want every single one to come out perfect. That's my take anyway...maybe others have different ideas.

(I have seen a few that are pretty bad from an alignment perspective...to the point it would bug me. This one and the Blue that I returned look pretty great though).

DOA is (dead on arrival)...My blue one that was delivered had a problem with the movement and would not run when it arrived.
