1k is my limit so it's sub grail territory. For my big birthday a few yrs ago I was going to get the omega speedy. She convinced me to get the moon to Mars version and I'm glad I listened. It's different, has a bit of color..... She said it would always remind me of the big one! I have a file on my laptop with about 40 watches that are on my list and she turned up her nose to all of them...she's making it hard. Said they look like all your others.....so I'm hunting 😃
Ok, Ok...well, this is a challenging hunt indeed!
The Moon to Mars Speedy is a GREAT one (and a unique one too), so I can't argue with her advice on the choice for your BIG B-day. Great choice!
So the hunt is really all about the "unique" and "non-derivative"...maybe "memorable" but certainly "unique". Definitely not similar to the watches in your current collection is what I'm hearing.
You've really got your work cut out for you Greg! ...40 watches that are on your list, and not getting any love on any of them...man, that is challenging! How long till your Anniversary??? Trying to figure out how much time we've got to come up with something for you!
We should probably change the title of this thread to Greg's Epic Watch Search (worthy of a big time Anniversary)...
