 Wow, great explanation - I got it on the first read ... 

Sophisticated sound systems (for home use) are beyond me but they do make for a whole new experience and appreciation when exposed to them; like in the theater. 

I'm afraid most connoisseurs would liken my system to something Fred and Wilma Flintstone would have in their abode.  I still have my Marantz system from the 90's ...
