 Actually, home theater systems have come down in price a great deal. You can find package deals (receiver, and 5 speakers, more likely than not you'll have to buy your subwoofer separately) for under $500. Some are even near the $200 range. In my opinion, it's waaay worth it. Movie watching at home will never be the same.
