Gerald Ford passed away Tuesday, december 26, 2006. I'm surprised none of us noted it...
Seems even in death we are a bit ambivalent about him. Ford was never elected to office of president or vice president but stepped in as VP after Spiro Agner left office and assumed the presidency after Richard Nixon left office. And there in lies our ambivalence I do think.
I was a bit young soI don't remembermuch except the pardon of Nixon, "WIN" buttons and Ford getting beat by Jimmy Carter.
One less live president but Ford joins his predecessors...

Seemed like a very humble dedicated man. The problem Pax is I dont think he had much time in office to leave a legacy as President.
