I did say it was only my opinion but these quotes by Rummy give me pause... that is as a truly moronic liberal...

"I would not say that the future is necessarily less predictable than the past. I think the past was not predictable when it started."

"We do know of certain knowledge that he [Osama Bin Laden] is either in Afghanistan, or in some other country, or dead."

"We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." –on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction

"Death has a tendency to encourage a depressing view of war."

I do think #2 is very silly.  He may have been paraphrasing Yogi Berra!:D

#1 is, in a round about way, saying, "My, aren't all of you Monday morning quarterbacks with your 20/20 hindsight just so much smarter than everybody else".

#3 Yep....you are right,....he was wrong, as was every other county's intelligence and the information espoused by the UN.  More 20/20 hindsight!

#4 Very true........nobody hates war more that the warriors...no body else knows what it is like to put one's life on the line for what you believe in, and war is not about saving lives...it is about accomplishing the mission....war is not nice, but it is necessary....I cannot think of one lasting peace that has been negotiated!  Death is not enlightening, but is is a necessary part of life.  If it ain't worth you life to protect....it obviously is not worth having!

But..............that's just me (having been there, done that...and been betrayed by the "weak kneed-gotta get reelected" politicos!
