Was wondering if anyone else had noticed that the Hirsch Liberty straps (or any other strap for that matter) can vary in width by up to 1 mm? I have a 20mm brown strap that when fitted to 20mm lugs, has a gap of almost 1mm, allowing some of the spring bar to show (ok, I may be a little anal about that, but I hate it when that happens). This pic shows what I mean - the strap was marked as 20mm: ![]() I have noticed it on one of my 24mm straps too - but for that one I was able to 'massage' the leather out a little to spread it and fill the gap. Can't seem to do that for the smaller straps. Just curious and wanted to start the first thread...;) Steve Last edited on Sun Feb 25th, 2007 01:09 pm by srh_pres |
